Meet the Thousand Oaks Team Behind Aspen Attic Insulation Thousand Oaks

We’re a local crew, not a rotating cast. The people who show up at your door in Thousand Oaks are the same people who answer your questions, inspect your attic, and stand behind the work a year later. Every one of us lives in Ventura County, understands how Conejo Valley summers cook an under-insulated attic, and knows the difference between a quick fix and a job that’ll keep your house comfortable for 20 years. Garrett Sloane, the owner, built the team around one rule: hire people he’d trust in his own mother’s attic.

Our People

Mike Ramirez, Lead Insulation Technician

Mike has spent 14 years in attics across Ventura County. He’s certified in both Owens Corning and Johns Manville installation systems, and he’s the guy we send when a homeowner has an attic that’s been done wrong before. Mike has seen everything in Thousand Oaks crawlspaces, from 1970s newspaper insulation in Lynn Ranch to raccoon damage in Newbury Park homes. His specialty is retrofitting older houses where the original insulation has settled to almost nothing. He’s Methodical in the best way: the van is organized, the job site is clean, and the temperature reading he takes before and after tells him exactly what changed. Mike drinks his coffee black and claims he can tell an attic’s age just by the smell of the framing.

Dana K., Blown-In Insulation Specialist

Dana is our blown-in insulation lead, and she’s the one who calculates coverage down to the square foot. She’s been with Aspen Attic Insulation Thousand Oaks for 9 years and is certified on Knauf and CertainTeed blown fiber systems. Dana’s the person homeowners talk to when they want to understand exactly how many inches of material they’re getting and what that means for their R-value. She’s also the team’s pragmatist: if a repair makes more sense than a full re-do, Dana will tell you that before anyone quotes you a number. In her off hours, she’s restoring a 1960s house in Thousand Oaks, so she’s been on both sides of the estimate table.

Chris T., Senior Installer, Spray Foam

Chris handles our spray foam work, and he’s been doing it for 11 years. He’s trained on Icynene and Demilec application, which matters in Thousand Oaks because the temperature and humidity conditions during application change how foam cures. Chris is the one on the crew who gets genuinely excited about air sealing, and he’ll talk your ear off about stack effect if you let him. He’s also the tallest guy on the team, which means he’s the one we send into the tightest access points, because someone has to. Chris spends his weekends hiking in Wildwood Park and refuses to work on his own attic, which everyone finds hilarious.

Jen W., Service Coordinator

Jen is the voice on the phone. She’s been answering calls for our Thousand Oaks location for 7 years and lives in Westlake Village. Jen knows the schedule, knows the crew’s strengths, and knows which questions to ask so the right technician shows up with the right materials the first time. She’s the one who sends you the tech’s name, photo, and arrival window before the visit, and she’ll be the one calling after the job to make sure everything went the way we said it would. Jen has a border collie named Suds who occasionally makes an appearance on speakerphone. She’s the reason our customers never have to explain themselves twice.

One Standard, Every Job

Every technician on this page works to the Threshold Standard, the verification and conduct requirements set by our parent company, Threshold Group. The Standard isn’t a slogan. It’s a checklist that covers how we identify ourselves at the door, how we price work, and how we handle it when something isn’t right. Every tech is background-checked and identity-verified before they ever put on the uniform. Every visit starts with a name, a photo, an ID badge, and a marked van. Every estimate is written before work begins. Every job carries the 365-Day Done Right Promise: if a repair fails within a year, we return and fix it free, in writing, covering labor and materials. Garrett Sloane, the owner of our Thousand Oaks location, was raised on the idea that your reputation is just your last job. This team operates the same way.
